The shuffle is a fair one, driven by your browser's secure random numbers, and you choose the positions. Nothing you pick is stored or sent.
Tarot and Lenormand are read for guidance. Ganjifa and Hanafuda are games and folk art in the sources, so those tables are a way to meet the cards, not a reading. The Roots tab shows which old text each practice rests on, and where none was found.
03Where the pictures and meanings come fromEditorial
The Major Arcana, Lenormand and parrot-card pictures were made for this site with an image model from written descriptions. They are original, and some details differ from the historic decks. The parrot cards show only sacred symbols, never an image of a deity. The Ganjifa and Hanafuda faces are drawn by code.
Facts about each tradition come from a numbered research file, listed at research/tarot/SOURCES.md. Machine-written summaries in it still need a human read, and where the sources are silent the page says so.
