The KPchart

Krishnamurti Paddhati looks at every planet and every house cusp through three lords: the sign lord, the star lord and the sub lord. Here they all are.

02How it worksCalculated

KP divides the zodiac more finely than the usual 27 nakshatras. Each nakshatra, 13°20′ wide, is ruled by one of nine planets in the Vimshottari order. KP then splits it into nine sub-divisions, one per planet, with widths in proportion to the Vimshottari years (7, 20, 6, 10, 7, 18, 16, 19 and 17 of 120), and splits each of those the same way again. The planet ruling a point’s sub-division is its sub lord. There are 243 sub-divisions in the zodiac.

A KP chart uses Placidus houses, the Krishnamurti ayanamsa and the true lunar node. The four levels of significators for a house are, strongest first: planets in the star of an occupant, the occupants, planets in the star of the house owner, and the owner. The ruling planets are the lord of the day, and the sign and star lords of the Moon and of the rising degree.

This page calculates all of that. How KP reads a sub lord or a significator is a body of teaching in its own right, and it is not interpreted here.
