AboutNadi
Nadi means three different things, and only some of them can be calculated. This page does those, and is plain about the rest.

Nadi astrology, in the south of India especially, refers to readings said to be written long ago on palm leaves. A reader finds the leaf that belongs to a person by their thumbprint and a series of questions. There is no calculation that can reproduce this, and no way to check a leaf against the sky. Treat any service that offers it with care, and never pay in advance for a reading you cannot see.
The nadi of a nakshatra is a fixed table: the 27 nakshatras fall into three groups of nine, Adi, Madhya and Antya, often linked with the three humours Vata, Pitta and Kapha. In marriage matching the nadi koota gives 8 points if the two people’s nadis differ and none if they are the same, which the tradition calls nadi dosha. Classical texts list exceptions that this page does not apply.
Nadiamsa is a division of each sign into 150 parts of 12 arcminutes, used in the Chandra Kala Nadi texts. The part a planet falls in is calculated here. The written description for each part is in those texts and is not reproduced.
